Welcome

I've spent quite a bit of time this past weekend to put up a section for robotics. General programming really, but this is leading up to programming a robot. Maybe any robot. And the site serves a different purpose too. I've added a section to register and login and all that. I've done it before, but I'm trying to refine the process so I can "drag and drop" (and configure) the files into an application easily. This time, I've done it in a procedural sort of way where in the past I've implemented it in an object oriented approach.

Up on the site, I'll be adding whatever files we use during our "classes" at BHS. It's my turn tomorrow night and we'll be re-covering the basics. Variables and functions. Wheee!

i haven't been touching this site much except to put up some pics. check out my gallery if you know where it is. doing some travelling and such. i've been to some interesting places, but i never take maui for granted. i love it here. the ocean especially. speaking of which, i also love my camera with an underwater case. not professional or anything, but i like taking nice pictures underwater.

anyway, will be working on redesiging MHS Band's website for now. it'll just be on the side, so it might take a while. we'll see.

so i've finally decided to do this. blog, i mean. and for reasons other than just to do it. ideally, it'll keep me involved, fresh, objective. i need to be the user. sometimes, at least. sometimes i need to tell the developer how i want it done, cuz that's the way it makes sense to me, the user.

for now, i'll be putting up what i throw down. all by hand. i don't have a fancy tool to post this blog. just good ol' fashioned html with a text editor and an ftp client. i will build something...later.

thinking out loud...
- i'll need to design the database
- settle on a framework
- decide on a language
- i'm missing some things, but i'll get to it later. i always do
but first i need to be the user. come up with some requirements. some that would be cool. some that should be there. like maybe logging. throw it all out there until it makes no sense. like it's starting to, right now.
