Album: Polipoli Reforestation Project In January of 2007, about 2300 acres burned in Polipoli state park. Currently, the state is trying to ramp up efforts to rehabilitate the forest. I wanted to see first hand what was going on with that, so I tagged along with a volunteer group from MEO Youth Bank to help with plantings of native hawaiian trees and the removal of some invasive plant species. This day we planted mamane and removed the invasive fireweed and pines. Last change: 05/20/12
